Chaparral hits the road for its last away game of the regular season, looking to grasp their sixth win this year.

“I love the competition,” said Cowboys linebacker and running back Trayvius Hodge. “I’m a competitor, I will come hard to compete, and you know, the best guy is gonna win.”

The Cowboys (5-2) head to Del Sol Stadium to take on the Del Sol (2-4). The game is set for 7 p.m. kick off.

Hodge praised the team for being on the same wavelength in terms of preparation for the upcoming game.

“We’re teammates, we communicate a lot,” Hodge said. “We talk about how it’s not really a rivalry game but, you know, it’s personal.”

Hodge hinted that the team is ready for the final two games. He believes this practice ethic is greatly preparing the team for the future of playoffs and most importantly, the next game at Del Sol.

“Our coach stays on us, and there’s no slacking,” Hodge said. “We got to practice hard. Make sure everybody is on time.”

Chaparral’s last game against Del Sol ended with a Cowboy victory 34-8.
